Gerald Joseph Robicheaux Sr.

NEW IBERIA – Funeral Services will be conducted for Mr. Gerald Joseph Robicheaux, Sr., age 72, at 10:30 am Friday, April 25, 2014 at Evangeline Funeral Home with Pastor Ryan Derouen officiating. Interment will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Thursday. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Friday until service time.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Robicheaux passed away at 1:05 pm on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Iberia Medical Center.

Mr. Robicheaux was employed at Quail Tools in New Iberia for 25 years. He enjoyed fishing and gardening, but most of all spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughter, Mona Hiatt and husband Dwain of New Iberia; two sons, Loren Robicheaux of Brentwood, TN and Gerald Robicheaux, Jr. of New Iberia; two grandchildren, Jacob Hiatt and Brittany Sundberg and husband Jonathon all of New Iberia and one sister, Rita Mae Kelly of Kinder.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marcus and Mable Deslatte Robicheaux and an infant brother, Warren Robicheaux.

Pallbearers will be Gerald Robicheaux, Jr., Loren Robicheaux, Jacob Hiatt, Dwain Hiatt, Mark Kelly and Bryan Kelly.
