Glen “Cotton” Peter Hebert, age 67, of New Iberia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 21, 2025. Born and raised in New Iberia, Louisiana, Glen was the beloved son of the late Estelle Sumrall Hebert and Dudley Hebert.
A simple man who found joy in the simple things, Glen lived a life rooted in family, nature, and quiet strength. He cherished his time outdoors-whether hunting, fishing, or just soaking in the calm of Louisiana’s woods and waters. It wasn’t just a passion for him; it was a place where he felt God’s presence most deeply. Above all, Glen was devoted to his family, and his love for them was unwavering. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. We take comfort in knowing he is now at peace, walking in the beauty of Heaven- Gods most perfect wilderness.
Glen is survived by his loving children: Lindsey Hebert Delcambre (Ethan), Lance Hebert (Lexi), and Logan Hebert (Jami); his grandchildren: Mia Hebert, Reece Hebert, Luke Hebert, and Phoebe Delcambre; his siblings: Danny Hebert (Charlotte), Wayne Hebert, Karen H. Bienvenue, Paula H. Kiper (Lawrence), and Susan H. Derouen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dudley and Estelle Hebert; his sister Diane H. Bonin; his brother-in-law Wesley Bienvenue; his nephew Guy Hebert; his great-nephew Trey Hebert; and his niece Holly Kiper.
A visitation will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025, beginning at 10:00 AM at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church in New Iberia. A rosary will be recited at 10:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM, officiated by Monsignor Robert Romero. Glen will be laid to rest in the church mausoleum following the service.
