

NEW IBERIA – Funeral services will be celebrated for Mrs. Harriet Hebert, age 70, at 10:00 am Saturday, June 11, 2011 at Highland Baptist Church. Pastor David Denton will officiate. Mrs. Hebert will be laid to rest with her husband at St. Nicholas Mausoleum in Patoutville.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Evangeline Funeral Home of Friday, June 10 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Visiting hours will continue on Saturday and will be held at Highland Baptist Church, 607 Victory Drive, New Iberia, from 8:00 am until services.
A native of Jeanerette and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Hebert passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 09, 2011 at her residence.
Harriet was a homemaker, devoted to the love and care of her family. She had many pastimes, including crafts and cooking, but none that she enjoyed more that visiting with her family and friends. She leaves behind many fond memories that will forever be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her children, Juanita Boudreaux of New Iberia, Andy Hebert of New Iberia, Bonnie St. Germain of Breaux Bridge, Ty Hebert and wife Missy of Loreauville, Lucy Langla and husband Allen of New Iberia, and Liz White and husband Keith of New Iberia. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; a brother, Camille “Butsy” Hebert; and two sisters, Regina Darby of New Iberia, and Betty Comeaux of Abbeville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Hebert (who passed away November 3, 2010); a son, Timothy C. Hebert; 3 grandchildren, Jamie Lynn Hebert, Shane Michael Hebert and Emily Raegan White; her parents, Camille and Irene Luke Hebert; and a daughter-in-law, Sally Lanza.
Serving as pallbearers will be Keith White, Allen Langla, Nicholas Hebert, Brett Hebert, Joshua St. Germain and David Boudreaux. Her sons, Ty and Andy will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Hospice of Acadiana, especially her nurse Donnie Tornblom; and to Mrs. Rose Mary, her nurse at Iberia Medical Center who visited with her often.
