Jeanette Martin Robichaux

NEW IBERIA - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Mrs. Jeanette Robichaux, the former Jeanette Martin, age 82, at 10:00 am Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Fr. Mark Derise officiating. Interment will be held privately at a later date.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday from 5:00pm until 9:00pm with the recitation of the Rosary at 7:00pm. The Funeral home will reopen on Wednesday from 8:30am until services.

Jeanette was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She lived her life for her family and friends. Mrs. Robichaux was a 1951 graduate of the Mount Carmel Academy.

A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Robichaux passed away peacefully at 3:30 am on Friday, February 27, 2015 surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Robichaux is survived by her seven children, Karen Robichaux Wiley, of New Iberia, Errol J. Robichaux, II and wife Teresa of Lafayette, Dawn Robichaux of New Iberia, Phyllis Robichaux Berard and husband Marc of New Iberia, Neal Robichaux and wife Annette of Abbeville, Mavis Robichaux Rodrigue and husband Tim of New Iberia, and Cheryl Robichaux of New Iberia; brother, Jacob Edward Martin; 15 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Suzanne Pesson Martin; brother-in-law, Marnell Robichaux and wife Mellie, and 6 nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Errol J. Robichaux Sr.; parents, Joseph Guy Martin Sr. and Anne Drago Martin; brother, Joseph Guy Martin, Jr.; and grandchild, Megan Rodrigue.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Rodrigue, Chase Berard, Guy Rodrigue, Marc Owen Berard, Jr., Errol Robichaux II, and Neal Robichaux.

Honorary pallbearers will be Cullen Bouton.
