Julius Joseph Badeaux
January 18, 1932 – June 30, 2020
Julius Joseph Badeaux, a native of Iberia Parish and resident of Kaplan, passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at his residence with his family at his side. He was 88.
Julius was born January 18, 1932 to the late Joseph and Dola Landry Badeaux. He was a man of simple values and made the best of everything around him. He has always been a hard worker and took great pride in all that he did. He drove trucks with many companies in the Acadiana area, but most will remember him from the 30 years he spent with Robertson Tank Line. When not working, Julius kept busy with hobbies and pastimes. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and took advantage of the beauty of the outdoors. He enjoyed woodworking, listening to Cajun and French music, trips to the casino, and relaxing at home with a dip of tobacco. Above all, his greatest love was for his family. They will miss his jokester ways and fun times visiting, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his children, Eva Blair Menard (Ronald), Kerry Strawn (Patrick), Cagal Badeaux, Cornel Badeaux, Oladee Badeaux (Byron Hill), Trenda Badeaux and Karen Mae Adams (his caretaker and whom he looked upon as his own daughter); his grandchildren, Amber Hill, Kristian Suire, Brody Chevalon, Morgan Romero, Ahnaya Courville, Ashley Badeaux, Cierra Badeaux, Star Delcambre, Joey Bourque, Daniel Manes, Danielle Manes, Kendal Menard, Felicia Menard, Kayla Hollis, Martin Johnson, Kristy Johnson and Halyee Thibodeaux; and 27 great grandchildren with 2 expected soon.
Julius’ oldest daughter, Donna Johnson, survived him but passed away just one day after him on July 1, 2020. He is also preceded in death by his grandson, Brett Castille; and his siblings, Ida Howell, Joyce Badeaux and Ronald Badeaux.
Please keep the Badeaux family in your prayers as they lay their father and sister to rest.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, July 3, 2020 at Evangeline Funeral Home with Deacon Mona Marceaux officiating. Following the service, Mr. Badeaux will be laid to rest at Holy Family Cemetery.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday Evangeline Funeral Home from 9:00 am until time of services.

RIP Pop Julius,
It was a blessing to have had you in my life. You had a way of bringing laughter when you came around. You knew I loved animals, so you got me chickens that laid blue shelled eggs with double yolk you also maid sure I had ducks, rabbits, etc. I want to Thank You for all you did for us. For that I will always be grateful. You will be sadly missed, but never forgotten. Until We Meet Again
All Our Love And Respect.

I remember when Pawpaw came to Belle Chasse to get me to visit my family. There was a catch, we had to bring my black cat with us. Pawpaw said she had to be put in a box. We stopped at the store and the cat got out the box. She was car sick from riding in the hot truck in the box with holes. I took her out. She was sick in the truck then pawpaw started getting sick. We are on the side of the road by now. Pawpaw says clean my truck and put that cat in the back of the truck in the box. The cat was in the back and we was riding I looked back to check and the box flew out the truck. We pulled over the cat was in the back of the truck. I went to grab her and she jumped out my arms and ran in the woods. The cat didn’t make it to New Iberia. Her stop was Boute. Pawpaw laughed so hard because the cat jumped out my arms. I cried because I lost my cat. That is one memory I will never forget. I love 💕 you Pawpaw rest East.
