NEW IBERIA – A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held for Lenox Joseph Dugan, Jr., age 86, at the VFW Hall in New Iberia on Saturday, September 28, 2019 from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm.
A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Lenox Joseph Dugan, Jr. passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Amelia Manor in Lafayette.
Lenox proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War and was honorably discharged. He was a kind and caring man who enjoyed the simple life of country living. Lenox was an avid outdoorsmen who loved fishing. Not only did he love to fish, but he was also very good at it. Lenox could catch a 10 lb. catfish out of a 5 lb. bucket. He was always up at the crack of dawn with a pole in hand and ready to get on the water. Lenox was also pretty good with a harmonica and guitar. He would often show off his talents at local dance halls. Lenox was a family man who loved his family above all else. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be truly and deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his sons, Randall Dugan, Sr. of New Iberia, Jeff Dugan and wife Sherry of Broussard, Gary Dugan and wife Geraldine of New Iberia, and George Dugan and wife Barbara of Dayton, TX; sister, Mae Louviere; grandchildren, Joshua Dugan, Jeffery Dugan, Matthew Dugan, Sam Dugan, and Randall Dugan, Jr.; and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 47 years, Georgia Ann Pryor Dugan; parents, Lenox, Sr. and Alicia Touchet Dugan; and siblings, Ivy Dugan, Flo LeBlanc, Walter “T-Man” Dugan, and Charles Dugan.
