Margaret "Jackie" Sons Broussard

NEW IBERIA- A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Mrs. Curley Broussard, the former Margaret “Jackie” Sons, age 94, at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at St. Marcellus Catholic Church. Fr. Gene Tremie will officiate at the services. Interment will follow at St. Marcellus Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Tuesday with a Rosary at 7:30 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Wednesday until service time.

A native of Morgan City and resident of New Iberia, Mrs.Brousard passed away at 2:10 pm on Sunday, October 9, 2011 at Belle Teche Nursing Home.

Mrs. Broussard was a devoted mother, grand and great grandmother who enjoyed spending time with them and always put them first. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

Mrs. Broussard is survived by her children, Terry Broussard and wife Mary of Youngsville; JoAnn Perret and husband Emile; Gayle Romero and husband Wilton and Randy Broussard and wife Jessica all of New Iberia; daughter in law, Mary Lowe Broussard of New Iberia; eight grandchildren, Troy Broussard and wife Lynsie; Todd Broussard and wife Terri; Emile Perret, II and wife Trudie; Kirk Romero and wife Monica; Kimberly Clay and husband Jude; Thomas Lowe; April Lowe and Nicole Lowe and eighteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Curley Broussard; son, William “Bill Dog” Broussard; grandsons, Alan Perret and Cordel Lamperez Romero; granddaughter, Mary Theresa Broussard; great granddaughter, Jaylee Broussard; parents, William and Margarite Lombas Sons; two sisters, Viola S. Boudreaux and Nellie S. Robicheaux and seven brothers, Clarence, Wilson, Jeff, Robert, Raymond, William and Albert Sons.

Pallbearers will be Troy Broussard, Todd Broussard, Kirk Romero, Emile Perret, II, Brock Clay, Thomas Lowe and Emile Perret, III.
