

NEW IBERIA – Funeral services celebrating the life of Marguerite Citrano Armentor, age 87, will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Evangeline Funeral Home. Fr. Alexander Albert will officiate. Marguerite will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Evangeline Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm, with the Rosary being recited at 6:00 pm. Visiting will resume on Thursday from 8:00 am until time of services.
Marguerite was born February 9, 1929 in New Iberia to the late Joseph Citrano and the late Lena Governale Citrano and was one of five children. She passed away peacefully on Monday, June 27, 2016 at Encore Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Crowley. And just as her passing was peaceful, her life lived was the same. She had a love for all animals, especially her horses, and enjoyed her time spent tending to her yard and flowers. But it was the time spent with her children and grandchildren that meant most to her. She leaves behind many fond memories that will be cherished always.
Survivors include her children, Gene Prioux and companion Babs Dees of New Iberia, Rusty James Prioux and wife Carla of Sibley, LA, and Cheryl Ann Armentor LeBlanc and husband Anthony of New Iberia; six grandchildren, Gene Ray Prioux, Brad Anthony Prioux, Christopher James Prioux, Breck Elizabeth Boudreaux, Britney Mechea LeBlanc and Brae Ann LeBlanc; four great grandchildren, Braylon Prioux, Baylon Prioux, Cole Anthony Maturin and Nash Anthony Boudreaux; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of first marriage, Harold Antoine Prioux; husband of second marriage, L.J. Armentor; and her siblings, Frank Citrano, Sr., Virginia Citrano Frederick, Mary Citrano Comeaux and Peter Citrano.
Serving as pallbearers are Gene, Rusty, Gene, Brad, Chris and Braylon Prioux. Honorary pallbearers are Lonnie Prioux, Blake Melancon and Neil Frederick.
