MaryJane Migues Lohr

NEW IBERIA – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Mrs. William Roy Lohr, the former Mary Jane Migues, age 78, at 11:00 am Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Fr. Mark Derise officiating and Fr. Ruben Primor serving as con celebrant. Interment will follow at Holy Family Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Wednesday with a Rosary at 6:30 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Thursday until service time.

A native of Weeks Island and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Lohr passed away at 7:20 pm on, Sunday, May 31, 2015 at Iberia Medical Center.

Mrs. Lohr was a devoted catholic, she was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and she and her friends held a weekly Rosary in her home. She was employed at Dauterive hospital for several years as a nurse. Mary Jane enjoyed dancing, traveling, entertaining and cooking, but most of all spending time with her family.

She is survived by her sons, William R. Lohr and wife Celeste of Lydia; Patrick G. Lohr and wife Joi of Parks and Gregory J. Lohr and wife Karen of Loreauville; five grandchildren, Jarred Lohr, Ethan Lohr, Larry Leger, Jr., Jonas Leger and Jarett Leger and three great grandchildren, Isaiah Leger, Helena Leger, Aedan Leger and Damien Gachassin.

She was preceded in death by her husband William Roy Lohr; her parents, Clement and Linda LeLeux Migues; two sisters, Rose M. Sheppard and Irene M. Barron and four brothers, Lester Migues, Julius Migues, Curley Migues and Russell Migues.

Pallbearers will be Ethan Lohr, Larry Leger, Jr., Jonas Leger, Isaiah Leger, Reed Migues and Brock Migues.

Jarred Lohr and Jarett Leger will serve as honorary pallbearers.
