Michael Louis Hoover

NEW IBERIA – Memorial funeral services will be held for Michael Louis Hoover, age 50, at 1:00 pm Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Evangeline Funeral Home. Rev. Roland Fontenot will officiate. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Michael passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2012.

Michael was a graduate of Tyler Junior College in Tyler, Texas with a degree in surveying. He was a surveyor with Western Geo Physical and worked in Africa, Belize, Jamaica and Honduras. Michael was a country music fan. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his mother, Jacqueline Aucoin Hoover Sanders of New Iberia; his brother, Kenneth Mark Hoover; and three nephews, Kenneth Matthew Hoover, Patrick Allen Hoover and Andrew Taylor.

He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth W. Hoover; maternal grandparents, Policar Aucoin and Marie Touchet; and paternal grandparents, Horace E. Hoover and Dorothy Hoover.
