Ondinia Miguez Naquin

NEW IBERIA – Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Ollie J. Naquin, the former Ondinia “Deanie” Miguez, age 92, at 12:00 pm, July 15, 2015 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church with Fr. William Blanda officiating. Interment will follow at St. Peters Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Saint Peter’s Catholic Church from 11:00 am until the service time with a rosary being said at 11:30 am.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Naquin passed away at 8:27 am on, Saturday, July 11, 2015 at AMG Specialty Hospital. She will be deeply missed by all those she knew and loved.

She is survived by her son, Wayne Naquin and wife Barbara of Mandeville; daughter, Olivia Naquin of New Iberia; grandson, Scott Joseph Naquin of Mandeville; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ollie J. Naquin; parents, Seville and Lelia Landry Miguez; brother, Roland J. Miguez and wife Eve; sisters, Emily M. Bihm and husband Melvin, Lorraine M. Martin and husband Louis, Lilly Mae M. Westmoreland Martin and husband Hugh, Doris M. Hebert and husband James “Jimmy”, and Joann M. Alexander and husband Bobby; sister-in-law, Marjorie Naquin Haydel and husband Ronald; grandson, Mark Wayne Naquin; nieces, Mary Ann Haydel Landry and Rise’ Alexander; and nephew, Ronald Westmoreland.

Pallbearers will be members of the family.

The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Gupta and the staff of Iberia Medical Center, the staff of AMG Specialty Hospital, and Heart of Hospice.
