Patricia H. "Pat" Johnston

YOUNGSVILLE – A memorial service celebrating the life of Patricia Hebert “Pat” Johnston, age 73, will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Living Faith Church, 1320 Fortune Rd., Youngsville, Louisiana. A gathering of family and friends will be held at church from 2:00 pm until time of services. Interment will be held privately.

Patricia Hebert Johnston was born July 4, 1941 in New Iberia to the late Adam Hebert and Olive Romero Hebert and was one of seven children. On Wednesday, March 25, 2015, she passed away peacefully at her residence, with her family at her side.

Pat, as she was known by family and friends, was a homemaker who enjoyed arts and crafts, gardening, and decorating. She had a heart of gold and a smile that would light up any room. Her grandsons said that she was born on the 4th of July, because she was a “firecracker!” She leaves behind many fond memories and will be missed dearly.

Survivors include her husband and best friend of 53 years, Gary Johnston of Youngsville; her children, Kim Breaux (Marcel) of New Iberia, Lisa Johnston of Lafayette, and Kirk Johnston (Laurie) of Heflin, LA; her grandsons, Jason Roberts of New Iberia, Jared Johnston and Peyton Johnston both of Heflin; her brother, Allen Hebert of New Iberia; sisters, Gail Louviere of New Iberia and Gloria Romero of Youngsville; sister-in-law, LeAnn Roque of Palos Verdes, CA; and her best friend of many years, Deanna John of New Iberia.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Beatrice Moreland, Bernice Bourque, and Nell Hebert; a grandson, Kirk Johnston, II; and her in-laws, Lawrence and Bertha Johnston.
