NEW IBERIA – Funeral services will be celebrated for Patty Lynn Touchet, age 44, at 1:00 pm Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Evangeline Funeral Home. Deacon Wynard Boutte will officiate the services. Interment will follow at Holy Family Mausoleum.

The family and friends will gather on Friday from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am Saturday until time of service.

Patty was on December 10, 1976 in Lafayette to the late Louis and Mary Lou Hebert Touchet. She passed away on Thursday, July 8, 2021 in Abbeville, LA.

Patty was employed with Super 1 for 13 years as a meat cutter. She loved spending time with her family and godchildren and playing hide-n-seek with her nieces and nephews. Her cat Baba was very special to her and like her side kick.

Patty is survived by her sisters, Linda Romero and husband Rene of New Iberia; Diane Touchet and partner Betty Cormier of Rayne; her partner, Tiffany Romero of New Iberia; nine nieces and nephews; great nieces, Ashlyn Romero and Baylee Romero and her godchildren, Kayden Castille and Amalee Derouen.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, David Touchet; maternal grandparents, Aminthe Reaux Viator and Paul Viator and Clause Hebert; paternal grandparents, Rene Touchet and Edith Dore Touchet; nephew Rene Romero, Jr.; best friend, Cye “Kenneth” Migues and her mother in law, Goldie Romero.

Pallbearers will be Bo Romero, Jessie Romero, Kim Decoux, Marcus Rougeau, Blaze Cormier, Norma Hebert, Nick Shumpert, Oscar Olivera and Kayden Castille.
