It is with heavy hearts and deep love that the family of Paul Broussard announces his passing. A native and resident of Iberia Parish, Paul was called to his heavenly home on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at the age of 75. Paul was born on June 29, 1951, to the late Cline and Evelyn Chesson Broussard.
A loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially spending time outdoors, caring for his beloved beagles and Patterdale terriers, and tending to his garden.
His garden held a special place in his heart, serving as a place of comfort, reflection, and spiritual connection. His family will forever remember his words, “I go to my garden to talk to God and find Peace.” A very devoted Catholic, Paul's faith was an important part of his life and provided him with strength and guidance.
Throughout his working years, Paul was employed in the oilfield industry as a mud engineer, a career he dedicated many years to. He also had a love for carpentry and enjoyed working with his hands, creating and building things.
Paul leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, hard work, and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. Though he will be greatly missed, his family finds comfort knowing he is now at peace in the loving presence of God.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Geraldine Maturin Broussard; his son, Jude Broussard; daughter, Simone’ Malayev (Roman); eight grandchildren, Aviva Malayev, Ne’omie Malayev, Nour Malayev, Amielle Hester (Remy), Airiss Broussard, Vaulee Courtney (Cade), Lailee Broussard and Gianna Broussard; one great grandchild, Jameson Courtney and two brothers, Darryl Broussard (Kathleen) and Eddie Broussard (Ron).
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by one grandson, Jude Paul Broussard; one sister, Nancy Broussard and one brother, Ted Broussard.
