NEW IBERIA – Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Alton Joseph Ozenne, age 86, at 3:00 pm Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at Evangeline Funeral Home with Fr. Charles Langlois officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Family Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm Wednesday at Evangeline Funeral Home until service time.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Ozenne passed away at 5:34 pm on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Camelot Nursing Home in Broussard.

She is survived by her son, Alton Ozenne and his wife Francine of Lafayette; four grandchildren, Brooke O. Breaux and husband Jeremy; Hillary Ozenne; Lawson James Barnette and Bridget Barnette McCarthy and two great grandchildren, Hannah Barnette and Capernia McCarthy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Joseph Ozenne; son, Lawson James “Jimmy” Barnette Ozenne; parents, Lawson and Alix Derouen Landry; two brothers, Howard and Frank Landry and two sisters, Maude Koralik and May Broussard.

Memorial donations may be made in her name to Hospice Compassus, 302 LaRueFrance, Suite 200, Lafayette, LA 70508.
