NEW IBERIA – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Raymond Charles Trahan, 51, at 2:00 pm on Monday, March 19, 2018 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church with Fr. Gregory Chauvin officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Family Mausoleum.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Sunday with a Rosary at 6:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Monday until service time.
A native of Loreauville and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Trahan passed on Friday, March 16, 2018 at Iberia Manor South.
Raymond, better known as Rambo, was a kind and loving man who enjoyed the simple life of country living. He enjoyed cooking, especially for his family, and loved to sit down to a good meal. To Raymond, spending time with family was the most important thing. He will be truly and deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Dawn Frawley Trahan; daughter, Ashli Trahan of Loreauville; siblings, Craig “Bob” Trahan, Linda Theriot and husband Jim, Lena Estave and husband Ernest, Ethel Foreman and husband Jeff, and Anita Louviere and husband David all of Loreauville; and grandsons, Jaxon and Ronin Patin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Eula Courville Trahan; and brothers.
Pallbearers will be Craig “Bob” Trahan, Michael Marshall, David “Red” Trahan, Dean Etie, Dwyane Boudreaux, and Rory Patin.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jaxon Patin and Ronin Patin.
