Rory James Goo

Our sweet and precious little angel, Rory James Goo, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025, just a little over an hour after she was born. Though her time with us was short, it was filled with immeasurable love and grace. In that sacred hour, we held her close, gazing into her beautiful eyes and seeing the perfection and peace she brought into our lives.

God, in His mercy, allowed us to feel the depth of Rory’s love and presence. She gave us a gift that will remain with us forever — a profound sense of peace, knowing she is now cradled in Heaven. Though our hearts ache with longing, we trust that one day we will be reunited with her. Until then, we will speak her name, cherish her memory, and ask for her prayers from above.

Rory is survived by her loving parents, Amber Nicole Smith and Michael Allan Goo; her grandparents, Dana Smith and Jeremy Myers, and Larry Goo (Amy); great-grandparents, Sandra Prioux, Kelly Myers, and Mark Loveless; great-great-grandmother, Philomene Champagne Prioux; Godparents, Jenny Loveless and Caleb Loveless; and her aunts and uncles, Bryson Myers, Gavin Goo, Kelli Rivet, Courtlyn Rivet, Jacelyn Dore, and Madelyn Broussard.

She is reunited in Heaven with her grandmother, Jacqueline Broussard, and her great-grandmothers, Paula Loveless and Deborah Myers.

In keeping with the family's wishes, private services will be held at a later date to honor Rory’s life and the love she brought into this world.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Rory’s name may be made to Maddie’s Footprints, a compassionate organization that supports families facing the unimaginable loss of a child through miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant loss. Donations may be sent to Maddie’s Footprints
