Mrs. Ruby Hebert Pellerin

RYNELLA – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Ruby Hebert Pellerin, age 75, at 10:00 am Friday, June 21, 2013 at St. Marcellus Catholic Church. Fr. Gene Tremie will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Evangeline Funeral Home on Thursday from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm, with the Rosary being recited at 6:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen on Friday from 8:00 am until 9:30 am.

Ruby was born June 21, 1937 in Coteau to the late Gabriel and Leoncia Gary Hebert, and passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 19, 2013, just 2 days before her birthday.

Ruby worked with both Howard Brothers and West Brothers years ago. But being a homemaker brought her the most joy. She enjoyed crocheting, and loved cooking meals for her grandchildren and family. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband of 27 years, Roy J. Pellerin; her children, Wayne Pellerin and wife Amy of Katy, TX, Byron Pellerin and wife Tina, Carla Dressell and husband Joe, and Tressie Pellerin Trahan all of New Iberia; her grandchildren, Tara Prados and TJ, Brock Pellerin and Stephanie, Kalie Dressel and Rodney, Nakia Easter and David, RJ Boutte and Shelby, Alysse Trahan, Chris Pellerin and Joy, and Shawn Guidry; great grandchildren, Bella, Ahni, Isabella, Tyler, Joey, Audri and Baby Ryder expected in August; and her sister, Stella Bouillion of New Iberia.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Joey Hebert and Brent Pellerin; great granddaughter, Marissa Guidry; brothers, Axie, Walter, Leonce, Lenis, Claus and Ellis Hebert; and sister, Rosa H. Viator.

Serving as pallbearers will be Joe Dressel, Wayne, Chris, and Brock Pellerin, RJ Boutte, and Ricky Bouillion.
