Born in New Iberia on November 19,1945 to the late Oday and Aspasie LeBouef Suire. She was 80 at her passing.
Ruth lived life with energy, grace, and a vibrant spirit that touched everyone who knew her. She shared a beautiful life with her beloved husband, and together they became well known for their extraordinary love of dancing. Whether on the dance floor or in competition, the two were an unforgettable pair, earning numerous dance contest trophies that proudly filled their home and served as lasting reminders of the joy they found together.
An artist at heart, she had a deep appreciation for creativity, color, and beauty. She embraced life with a vivid imagination and a colorful personality, bringing warmth and brightness wherever she went.
Family was at the center of Ruth’s life. She treasured camping trips, laughter around the campfire, and the simple joy of spending time with those she loved most. Those moments together became some of her family's most treasured memories.
In her later years, Ruth found excitement in visits to the casino, always announcing with a smile, "I need to do some Ching Ching!" It became one of her signature sayings, bringing smiles and laughter to her family every time she said it. Her playful spirit and sense of fun remained with her throughout her life.
Her memory will forever remain in our hearts.
She is survived by her children, Kevin Abshire, Christopher Abshire and Geraldean A. Roseberry (Joseph III) and her four grandchildren, Dylan Sorrel, Ryan Roseberry, Bryanna Roseberry and Madyson Roseberry.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Gerald J. Abshire; two sisters, Gloria Mae Segura and Laura Menard and two brothers, Wilton Suire and Kenny Suire.
