Ruth was a native and lifelong resident of New Iberia.
She is survived by her two children, Carolyn Ellzey Tribe and husband Daniel of Lafayette, and David Ellzey and wife Loraine Doiga Ellzey of New Iberia; 7 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Ellzey; parents, Joseph and Louisiana Kramer Courrege; and her brothers, Keith, Errol, Gilbert and William Donovan Courrege.
Memorial contributions may be made in Ruth’s name to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memorial and Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
