Sandra Marie Pesson

NEW IBERIA – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Sandra Marie Pesson, age 68, at 2:00 pm at St. Peter’s Catholic Church. Fr. Charles Langlois will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Mausoleum.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Evangeline Funeral Home on Friday from 9:00 am until 1:30, with the Rosary to be recited at 11:00 am.

A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Ms. Pesson passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at Consolata Nursing Home.

Sandra was born February 4, 1943 to Paul A. Pesson and Bertha Picard Pesson. She was a beautician, a parishioner of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, and a member of the Lay Carmelites. As a resident of Consolata, Sandra gave of herself to assist the residents and staff in any way needed. Whether styling the ladies hair, or decorating the tree for the season, she was always ready to help. Sandra loved her family and friends and leaves behind many fond memories.

Survivors include her children, Nicolle Delcambre and companion Todd LeBlanc of Broussard and Brent Delcambre and wife Carmen of New Iberia; five grandchildren, Ashley Delcambre, Joshua Delcambre, Lanie Taylor, Joseph Adams and Jacob Comeaux; her sister, Toni Pesson Adams of Thibodaux; and her brother, Glenn Paul Pesson of Broussard.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Brett Paul Delcambre.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Delcambre, Taylor and Joseph Adams, Judge Keith Comeaux, Todd LeBlanc, Christopher Zeringue, and Lanie Adams.
