

NEW IBERIA – Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Wallace J. “Snoop” Trahan, the former Sandra Breaux, age 74, at 10:00 am Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Evangeline Funeral Home with Fr. Mark Derise officiating. Interment will be held at Holy Family Mausoleum privately at a later date.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Tuesday with a Rosary at 6:30 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Wednesday until service time.
A native and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Trahan passed away at 11:43 am on, Sunday, January 24, 2016 at her residence.
Mrs. Trahan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend to many. She gave of herself babysitting the children of New Iberia Jaycees members, so they were able to donate their time volunteering for Village Bingo. She was a devout catholic and member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and a Tupperware Consultant for many years. She loved spending time with her family and friends whom will miss her dearly.
Mrs. Trahan is survived by her three daughters, Tammy Trahan Meyers and husband Hypolite “Boo” of Rynella; Nicole Trahan Marceaux and husband Jace of Youngsville and Mignon Trahan and companion Kardell Landry, Jr.; four sons, Steve Trahan and wife Donna; James Trahan and wife Nana all of New Iberia; Lester Trahan and companion Trinda Maturin of Loreauville; and Drew Trahan and companion Raven Spivey of Erath; one step son, Alton “Bobby” Trahan and wife Esta “Red” of Pineville; eighteen grandchildren, Al Trahan Foy, Gage Trahan, Kacey Trahan, Cayla Gaspard, Cassidy Trahan, Deanna Daigle, Dex Meyers, Marci Meyers, Ashley Trahan, Jake Trahan, Blade Trahan, Amber Trahan, Paige Trahan, Holden Marceaux, Haygen Marceaux, Chad Viator, Kevin Viator and Blake Romero; twenty three great grandchildren, Bridgette Foy, Connor Daigle, Sydni Daigle, M’kalia Meyers, Ricardo Hernandez, Braylin Hernandez, Brayton Hernandez, Bryson Trahan, Gavin Trahan, Talon Daigle, Zaiden Trahan, Jackie Landry, Charlotte Landry, Isaiah Viator, Kamryn Viator, Karter Viator, Kai Viator, Gabriel Romero, Lilly Romero, Alexa Foster, Sloane Trahan, Cameron Spivey and Caydence Spivey.She is also survived by two sisters, Gloria Breaux of Loreauville and Aline Hebert and husband Wallace of Crowley; one brother, Gordon Breaux and wife Debbie of Lydia and one sister in law, Mary Ann Courville Breaux of New Iberia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace J. “Snoop” Trahan; parents, Allen and Frances Granger Breaux; and one brother, Glynn Breaux.
Pallbearers will be Steve Trahan, James Trahan, Lester Trahan, Drew Trahan, Dex Meyers and Holden Marceaux. Mrs. Trahan’s grandchildren and great grandchildren will be honorary pallbearers.
