Shawn Mitchel Biano

September 17, 1984July 27, 2020

Shawn Mitchel Biano, a loving and devoted father and son, passed away Monday, July 27 2020 at his residence. He was 35.

Shawn was born September 17, 1984 in New Iberia to Jackie Kelsoe Biano and the late Darin Biano. He was a graduate of New Iberia Senior High and worked in the Oilfield most of his career. Most recently he was in production with Hill Corp and prior to that with Quail Tools.

Shawn has always had a love of sports. In his youth he played baseball with Evangeline Little League and earned his black belt in Karate at the age of ten. Those that knew Shawn knew he was a fanatic about LSU Football and an avid fan of the New Orleans Saints. He enjoyed hanging out with family and friends and having a good laugh, but above all, his greatest love was for his son, Shadd, and his family. Shawn will be dearly missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Rest well Shawn, for you have earned your heavenly reward.

He is survived by his son, Shadd Michael Biano; his mother, Jackie Kelsoe Biano; his companion and Shadd's mother, Shellie Marie Guillotte; his maternal grandmother, Jeane Kelsoe; his aunts, Vicky Primeaux (Tim) and Collette Landry (Jobie); and his cousins, Jared and Luke Primeaux and Jean Marie York.

Along with his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Archie Kelsoe, Lon Ray Biano and Rachel Creech Biano.

Memorial services celebrating Shawn's life will be announced at a later date. Family and friends are encouraged to visit Shawn's memorial page at www.evangelinefuneralhome.com to share your condolences and memories with the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to assist with funeral expenses.

There are no words at this time that can make things any easier. There will be days where you don’t want to go on but don’t give up. Hold on to his memories and his laughter and all the good times. Always be around friends and family which will give you the strength that is needed to get through the following days, months and years. That is what you have to hold on to.

No parent should have to go through losing a child.

Our son Shadd loved you and when he died you were there for us. We only hope that God gives you the strength to go on so you can make it through the following days ahead.

The love that Shawn had will shine bright through your grandchild Shadd, family and friends-- always remember that.

Our prayers and thoughts are with you, your mom Jeane, Vickie and all your family during this difficult time.

Love and Friends Always.
