LOREAUVILLE – Sheryl “Cherry” Toffier Vincent, age 79, of Loreauville, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2024, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. Sheryl was born in Loreauville to Mathilde Decuir Toffier and Curtis J. Toffier, Sr.
Affectionately known as Cherry or Honey, Sheryl was a lifelong resident of Loreauville, growing up in the serene surroundings of Lake Dauterive. She graduated from Loreauville High School and pursued her passion for cosmetology, eventually owning and operating "Cherry's Beauty Shop" in Loreauville for six years. Sheryl possessed a natural talent for hairstyling, a gift she shared generously with her community.
Devoted to her family, especially her special needs daughter, Jamie, Sheryl dedicated 33 years of unwavering care to her. She was also known for her culinary skills and love for cooking, often gathering loved ones around her table. A licensed florist, Sheryl had an innate ability to create stunning flower arrangements, her favorite color being pink. Her granddaughter affectionately called her “Chechie”, a testament to their close bond.
Deeply spiritual, Sheryl's faith in Jesus was a cornerstone of her life. She was known for her compassionate nature, always ready to listen, offer encouragement, and provide wise counsel to those in need. Sheryl adored her pets, lovingly referred to as her fur babies, and was a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew her.
Sheryl is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Roy J. Vincent, Jr.; her daughter Angela "Angel" Vincent Cole (Waylon); her granddaughter who she absolutely adored, MacKenzie "Mackie" Anne-Marie Cole; and her sisters Marylou Toffier and Patricia T. Verret.
She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, including Greg J. Ruiz and Stuart J. Verret, whom she held dear, and her cherished fur babies: Izzie, Sadie, Daisy, Skip, and Emmett.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Jamie M. Vincent, her parents Curtis J. Toffier, Sr., and Mathilde Decuir Toffier, and several siblings.
The family extends their gratitude to Dr. Robert Hankenhof and the some of the doctors and staff at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital for their compassionate care.

Per her wishes, Sheryl will be cremated, and a private service will be held at a later date to celebrate her life and legacy.
Sheryl Toffier Vincent will be remembered fondly for her kind spirit, unwavering love for her family, and her ability to bring comfort and joy to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched.
