Shirley was a kind and caring man who enjoyed the simple life of country living. He loved being outdoors tending to his vegetable garden, caring for his chickens, and fishing. He was a loving father and grandfather who enjoyed every moment spent with family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchild. Shirley will be truly and deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by one daughter, Sharlane L. Hardin and husband Ron of Broussard; one son, Troy C. Louviere of Coteau; three grandchildren, Lance Barras; Blake C. Louviere and Bryson J. Louviere; two great grandchildren, Madden Louviere and Mela Louviere; one brother, Creman Touchet; and one sister, Leona Touchet Bonin and husband Roger.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Annie Romero Louviere; father, Charles Louviere; mother, Louisiana’ Bourque Touchet; step-father, Maurice Touchet; brother, Raymond Touchet; and sister, Mary Lou Touchet Delahoussaye.

Pallbearers will be Lance Barras, Blake C. Louviere, Bryson J. Louviere, Donald Bourque, Harvey Romero, and Ron Hardin.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Grace Hospice, especially to Krista, for their wonderful care and compassion during the last few weeks.
