

NEW IBERIA – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Mrs. Wilton Dore, the former Sidonia Laviolette, age 100 and 7 months, at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Fr. Bill Melancon officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Mausoleum
Visitation will be held on Tuesday at the church from 1:00 pm until service time. A Rosary will be prayed at 1:30 pm by the Catholic Daughters.
A native of St. Martinville and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Dore passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at her residence.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Sidonia will be truly and deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her children, Sally Toups of Baton Rouge and Sterling Dore of New Iberia; one sister, Mary Louise Goodman; five grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Wilton Dore; parents, Orelione and Marie Louise Gerard Laviolette; brothers, Sterling Laviolette, Amadee Laviolette, Husville Laviolette, and Mearning Laviolette; sisters, Jane Magiola and Olive Comeaux; and son-in-law, Donald Toups.
Pallbearers will be members and friends of the family.
