NEW IBERIA – A funeral service will be conducted for Stanley “T-Black” Lee Joseph Norris, Sr., age 75, at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Evangeline Funeral Home of New Iberia. Deacon Wynard Boutte will officiate. Interment will be held privately at a later date
A gathering of family and friends will take place at the funeral home from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Wednesday. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen on Thursday at 8:00 am until the service time.
A native and resident of Coteau, Mr. Norris passed away on Monday, February 21, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Stanley, better known as “T-Black”, was a kind man who enjoyed the simple life of country living. He was an avid outdoorsman who liked hunting at the Weeks Island Marsh and fishing at his secret fishing hole. T-Black was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother who enjoyed joking and spending time with family and friends. He will be truly and deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lena Norris; sons, Timothy Norris and Stanley Norris, Jr. (Rosanne); daughters, Stacy Norris (Dalton) and Tessie Norris (Derek); Cody Segura (Ira), a grandson who he raised as his own son; great grandson, Tyson Segura; brother, Troy Touchet (Debra) ; sister, Vickie Touchet; grandchildren, Terrence, Lexie, Titan, Tyler, Tamika, Demetri, Dexter, Kendrick, Rusty, and Christian; and numerous great and great great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Lilly Touchet; father, Antoine Norris ; step-father, Joseph Dalton Touchet; son, Dalton Norris; brothers, Mark Broussard; sisters, Vivian Delahoussaye and Vanessa Touchet; and grandchild, Ashley Segura.
Pallbeares will be members and friends of the family.
