Thomas James Louviere

NEW IBERIA – Funeral Services will be conducted for Mr. Thomas James Louviere, age 61, at 2:30 pm Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at Evangeline Funeral Home with Fr. Ed Degeyter officiating. Interment will be held at Broussard Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until service time on Tuesday with a Rosary at 2:00 pm.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Louviere passed away at 1:33 pm on Sunday, October 16, 2011 at Lafayette General Medical Center.

Thomas enjoyed playing pool, fishing, listening to Jazz and watching old movies. He also loved going to his camp and was known as a jokester; he loved making everyone laugh. He will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Leslie Willis Louviere, son, Jared Louviere of New Iberia, brother, Keith Louviere and wife, Lynda of New Iberia, sister, Gale and husband, David Soileau of New Iberia, numerous nieces and nephews and his mother in law Bertha Willis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elton and Louise Louviere, brothers, Johnny and Leo Louviere and sister, Andrea Boutte.

Pallbearers will be Andy Louviere, Mitchell Louviere, Aaron LeBlanc, Gerald Berthelot, Blake Delahoussaye and Eric “Boo” Laviolette.
