Veronica Tumbagahan Boutte

NEW IBERIA – Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Veronica Boutte, the former Veronica Tumbagahan, age 75, at 11:00 am Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Assembly Christian Center with Pastor Paul Neel officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Family Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until service time on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Assembly Christian Center.

A native of Aklan, Philippines and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Boutte passed away at 5:23 pm on Thursday, November 22, 2012 at her residence.

Mrs. Boutte was born in the Philippines and moved to California in 1967 where she received her citizenship in 1979. She worked as a seamstress in Las Vegas for 34 years before settling in New Iberia. Veronica loved to traveling and fishing with her husband. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Warren Boutte; brothers, Hesquio Tumbagahan of Manilla, Philippines, Dioscoro Tumbagahan, Jr. of Manilla, Philippines; sisters, Edita Tumbagahan of Henderson, Nevada, Belinda Delacruz of Stockton, California, Qurina Ramirez of Aklan, Philippines and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dioscoro and Pacencia Tumbagahan; brothers, Damasa Tumbagahan, Ereneo Tumbagahan, Rito Tumbagahan and sister, Elisa Payapaya.

Pallbearers will be Eugene Olivier, Sr., Eugene Olivier, Jr., Sidney Broussard, Jr., Melvin Boutte, Sr., Anthony Berard, and Warren Boutte, Jr.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dexter Olivier, Antoine Olivier, Athan Olivier, Jr., Daniel Sowers, and Kendall Tennette.
