Vickie Bonin Prados

LOREAUVILLE – A Mass of Christian will be conducted for Mrs. Robert “Bobby” Prados, the former Vickie ”Poopae” Bonin, age 60, at 11:00 am Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Fr. Buddy Breaux officiating. Interment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Tuesday with a Rosary at 6:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Wednesday until service time.

A native of Catahoula and resident of Loreauville, Poopae was a longtime resident of St. Martinville. Poopae passed away at 12:34 am on, Monday, Janaury 5, 2015 at her daughter’s residence.

Poopae was employed with Evangeline Funeral Home since 1978, serving the families of St. Martin Parish in their time of need.

She truly enjoyed spending time with her family and taking care of her grandchildren.

She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Robert J. “Bobby” Prados of Loreauville; three children, Robyn P. Theriot and husband Kyle; Misty P. Melancon and husand Darryl and Robert “BJ” Prados, Jr. all of Loreauville; eight grandchildren; Hannah Albert; Bryson Theriot; Evin Theriot; Austin Melancon; Cameron Melancon; Hunter Prados; Trevor Prados and Kammie Prados and three brothers, Marcel “Boz” Bonin and wife Dot; Ronald “T-Ron” Bonin and Edwin “T-Ed” Bonin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cezaire and Yolande Latiolais Bonin.

Pallbearers will be Robert “B.J.” Prados, Jr. Kyle Theriot, Darryl Melancon, Austin Melancon, Marcel “Boz” Bonin and Kenny Pellerin.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bryson Theriot, Evin Theriot, Cameron Melancon, Hunter Prados, Trevor Prados, Ronald “T-Ron” Bonin and Edwin “T-Ed” Bonin.
