It's impossible to condense a person's life down to just a few words on paper. I have so many memories of Mrs. Vivian for the past 40 years or so that I've known her. I worked with her during my teenage years back in the 80's on her bus ministry and saw the love, time, and expense she contributed to helping the people in the St. Martinville area come to know Christ. Besides giving her bus riders a free round-trip ride to church, on the way back home she would feed them with a home-cooked meal or stop and purchase hamburgers for all of her riders on occasion. She will always be remembered for having a very generous heart, and lovingly gave to people that were going through tough times. We will surely miss her on this side, but I know she is enjoying the bliss of heaven and getting to be with Christ and our loved ones who have gone on before us. Bro. Otis and family, please let us know if we can be of help during this time, and we pray that Jesus will give you extra comfort and the "peace that passeth all understanding" during this time that only He can give.

Dear Candace and family, my heartfelt condolences and prayers for you. The excruciating pain of losing your mom equates to nothing else! It hurts to see you go through this my beautiful friend. Your mom was a beautiful person, and she knew the Lord. Be rest assured of knowing where she is and Who she is with! I love you and am here for you during this most difficult time, and always. Hugs to you and special prayers for your father, as I know this is extremely difficult for him. May ministering angels surround you all in these next coming days, and May the Holy Spirit comfort you. I’m so sorry for your loss. I love you!❤️

I met Bro Otie and Mrs Vivian at Temple Baptist December of 2002.. I was blessed to work for them as their housekeeper. We shared many stories with each other and laughed so much. Just to hear Mrs. Vivian laugh and giggle made you laugh even more. She could cook like no other. She cooked everything to a perfection. Her scones and sweet potato soufflé was two of my favorites. She was so good to me, as Bro. Otie was as well. I was so blessed to spend time with her traveling several times to Ruston for the weekend. Memories were formed and more laughs we had together will be forever cherished. I will forever be grateful for her love and kindness she showed me and others. I can’t leave out my blessings of getting to know and spend time with their 3 beautiful daughters. Mrs. Vivian loved them girls and grand babies so so much. I’m praying for you Bro. Otie, Candice,Andrea, Alicia and all the grandkids and family that loved her so dearly.

Vivian and I grew up together. Our house was on the corner, then another house, and then Vivian’s house. We were thick as thieves. Her mom made the best biscuits ever made. There are so many memories I have of her that it’s hard to choose just one. I love you and will miss you my friend and my personally adopted sister. See you later.
