Mr. Welvan Anthony Leger

A resident of New Iberia, Mr. Leger passed away at 6:36 am on Sunday, September 4, 2011 at Iberia Rehabilitation Hospital.

Mr. Leger was best known for being a good man and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His interests included football and especially French music. He will be dearly missed by all who loved him.

He is survived by his wife Beulah LeBouef Leger; two sons, Mark Anthony Cunningham and wife Sharon of New Iberia, Troy Leger and fiancé Vicky Romero of new Iberia; two daughters, Julie Romero and husband Chester of New Iberia, Raye Ann Enriquez and husband Louis of Dallas; brother, Ignace Leger, Jr. and wife Saundra of New Iberia; sister Norma Jean Istre of Crowley; grandchildren Tiffanie Domingue, Ann Marie Duplantis, Jamie Broussard, Nicole Michelle Harmin, Sammie Louviere, Jessica Enriquez, Louis Enriquez, Jr. , Quentin Louviere, Tristan Leger and twenty-two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ignace Leger, Sr. and Amelia Broussard Leger; one son, Jeffery Cunningham; one sister, Gloria Jean Leger and one granddaughter, April Langlinais.
