She was born on January 6, 1944, in Dorado, Puerto Rico, the daughter of Geronimo Santos and Berta Allende.
Carmen is survived by her sons Magdiel Cabrera and his wife Yanaidy of Groton, Jose Cabrera and his wife Maria of Springfield, MA, Carlos Cabrera and his wife Migdalia of Corozal, PR, Eddie Cabrera and his wife Betzy of Groton, Rolando Cabrere and his wife Jossie of Groton, and Tomas Cabrera of Florida; daughers Maria Cabrera of NJ, Magalis Cabrera of New London, Wanda Cabrera-Martin of New London, and Damaris Cabrera of New London; grandchildren Magdiel Cabrera Jr, Josuel Vazquez, Marangelys Vazquez, Wendy Vazquez, Manuel Calderon, Luis A Calderon all from New London.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 23rd at 1pm at Fulton-Theroux Funeral Home, 181 Ocean Ave., New London. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery, New London. Calling hours will be held for two hours prior to the service on Thursday from 11am-1pm at the funeral home.
