Christoniño Abdon Barretto

Niño was born on June 20, 1976 to Enrique (Junior) Barretto and Edilberta (Edith) Abdon Barretto in New London, CT.

Niño was a generous loving caring man, who loved to riding his motorcycle, work out at Planet Fitness in Waterford and loved to help people. His kids and family where his world and he would do anything to protect and provide for them.

He was a “Day One” employee at Mohegan Sun casino and worked with the elderly at the Groton Regency.

He was also helped his parents at Alter Ego to serve food at their catering truck at Electric boat during the lunch time period. He will be missed by all.

Niño is survived by his fiancé, Yanyie (Eve) Torres; father, Junior Barretto; mother, Edith Abdon Barretto; children Dante Ricardo Roderick-Barretto, Laiya Edith Roderick-Barretto, Isaac Storm Torres-Barretto; step-son Pedro Anthony Torres; sister, Kathy Jones (husband Quincy Jones), and Nhelly Ann Barretto Hughes; and brother Henry Elvina (wife, Pinky). In addition to his siblings, he is survived by his nephews, Christopher Barretto, Jonathan Hughes, Colin & Brian Elvenia and nieces, Brianna & Meleeya Jones; and Britney & Christine Elvenia.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, May 11, 2015 at 11:00 AM in St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, New London. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, New London. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, May 10, 2015 from 1 until 3 PM, and again from 5 until 8 PM at Fulton-Theroux Funeral Home, 181 Ocean Ave. New London.
