Gerald Lawrence Guess

Mr. Guess was born on December 22, 1955 in Providence, RI to Gerald and Patricia Guess.

Mr. Guess worked for Electric Boat for 12 years as a grinder. He enjoyed fishing, dancing, music, and chocolate. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor.

Mr. Guess is survived by his wife, Brendia Merchant-Guess; son, William Oates; daughters, Liea Guess, Lorraine Guess, Jovonda Guess; step-daughters, Natasha Merchant, Athena Merchant, Veronica Merchant; brothers, Otis Guess, Shawn Guess, Robert Guess, Paul Howard; sisters, Laurice Braggs, Sherrie Guess, Michelle Moody; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, 5 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, as well as a host o friends.

The family would like to thank all those who cared for Gerald Lawrence Guess Jr. during his stays at the hospitals, nursing homes, hospice services, and everyone who showed love in so many ways.

A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2015 at 4:00 PM at Fulton-Theroux Funeral Home, 181 Ocean Ave., New London. A calling hour will be held one hour prior to the service at 3:00 PM.
