Janet Maureen Harris-Lea

Janet Maureen Harris-Lea was born on February 5th, 1956 in Kingston Jamaica where she was raised by her grandmother Ruth Harris. She is the daughter of Larkland Harris and Beryl Wright Harris.

She was known for her passion to clean and her unwavering love for her children and those around her. She had an ability to make anyone laugh and inspired those she came in contact with. Janet was a caring, selfless woman who was devoted to providing a better life for her children. Although she had many difficulties, her spirit was completely untouched.

Janet is survived by her daughters, Khalia Lea and Marsha Schuck, her brother Pedro Harris, her grandchildren Shaneva Edwards, De-nnine Gadsden and Shavaughn Edwards (EJ), her great-grand children Desire, Royal and King Gadsden and her cousin Danny Harris.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her children’s father Patrick Everdale St. Clair Lea, her daughter Qusaun Lea, and her sons Everett Edwards and Damian Edwards.

Her incredible strength and immense kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Calling Hours will be held on Thursday, September 10th from 1-4pm at Fulton-Theroux Funeral Service, 181 Ocean Ave, New London.
