Megan Marie Sullivan, born November 27th, 1985, unexpectedly and peacefully entered into eternal rest on Saturday, June 21st, 2025 in Groton, CT. Megan was a beautiful mother, daughter, sister, aunt, partner, friend and coworker with a heart of gold. Throughout her entire life, Megan remained resilient and positive as she overcame many adversities. At a young age, Megan embraced the role of motherhood with strength and grace. Her only son, Lashier whom she had with Lawrence Edwards, was her pride and joy as she raised him while maturing into an amazing, hardworking young woman. After many years, Megan met her soulmate Jesse with whom she shared a life and welcomed their incredible daughter Amara. Megan and Jesse weathered many ups and downs together with mutual respect, support and laughter as they raised their beloved children. Megan and Jesse both worked at General Dynamics Electric Boat, where she impressed everyone early on with her talent for designing submarines. Known for her sassy personality and quick wit, those who knew Megan were always in for a treat! She definitely knew how to make others laugh and keep them on their toes. Megan's legacy will live on through her children who she loved with all her heart. Megan leaves behind so many that love her, most especially her son Lashier Edwards and daughter Amara Goins. She also leaves behind her sister and best friend Rebequa Vazquez, her step-dad Charles Vazquez, sister-in-law Felicia Goins, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. Megan was predeceased by her father Kevin Sullivan, mother Laura Sullivan, mother in law Leslie Caron Stack and her cherished partner Jesse Goins, who she loved and missed dearly. We take comfort in having faith that Megan is reunited with her parents and Jesse, in the arms of Jesus.
