Mike left an impression on me when we volunteered at various events in eastern Connecticut. His steady optimism and warm abundant smiles were a bright beacon.

My sympathy is extended to his family, Shawna, and all his friends and colleagues. A wonderful person has slipped away too soon.

Shawna,

I am so sorry for you and your family’s loss. Mike was a great guy who used to put a smile on my face every time we spoke. I think Mike was happier than I was when I told him I was moving to San Diego. In true Mike fashion, he gave me every recommendation he could think of (all of which have been on point so far). Mike always spoke so highly of you and his family. He will be sorely missed.

Thoughts and prayers to the whole Hannan clan!

Mike was my next door neighbor, my friend, and a fellow coworker at E.B. I could go on about his loyalty, his generosity, his commitment to work, to friends and to family. But, to sum it all up, we just lost another one of the good guys. My deepest and sincere condolences to Shawna and family. RIP Mike.

Shawana,
My heart weeps over your loss. Although I hadn’t known Mike well, I do very well understand how much you truly loved him. Listening to stories of your times together with him were almost a daily occurrence, whether it was just listening to Cousin Brucie, sipping fine spirits and smoking an occasional cigar, fine dining at your favorite Tampa restaurant, or just planning improvements to your home. I know he was the rock in your life. My sincere condolences to you and your family
