Nancy Lee Libby

Born on October 14, 1947, in New London, Connecticut, Nancy was the eldest daughter of Elizabeth and Joseph Kripps. She grew up alongside her siblings Joseph W. Jr, Linda, and Dale in Waterford, CT. Throughout her life, Nancy was known for her wit, thoughtfulness, strength and loving nature—qualities that touched all who knew her.

Nancy’s life was marked by deep connections with her family. She was a devoted mother to her daughter Shelby and her late son Tom. Her immense love extended across generations to her grandchildren. Her sister Dale also remained a cherished presence in her life.

Nancy is survived by her daughter Shelby Wilkinson, her husband Dustin, their children Beau, Eden and stepson Everett. Also her sister Dale Mayott, grandchildren Samantha and Jacob Duke and great grandchildren Damon and Demi Duke.

Though she endured the loss of several beloved family members—including her parents Elizabeth and Joseph Kripps; her brother Joseph W. Jr; her sister Linda Gordon; and her son Thomas Duke—Nancy’s strength and warmth continued to shine through in the relationships she nurtured with those around her.

Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who loved her. May Nancy’s memory bring comfort and peace to all who were fortunate enough to know her.

A Calling hour will be held on Friday, January 9th from 5-6pm at Fulton-Theroux Funeral Home, 181 Ocean Ave., New London, followed by a Memorial Service beginning at 6pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to secondchanceanimals.org
