Robert Clarence Schwarze

Bob was born on August 22, 1936 in Elizabeth NJ, the son of the late Herman and Mary Jane Schwarze. Bob served as a Navy Diver during the Vietnam War era retiring in 1969 after which he ran a successful hot dog vending business in Groton near Electric Boat. Bob then relocated to Bradenton FL before returning home to retire as a rigger at the Groton SUBBASE.

Bob was predeceased by his parents Herman and Mary Jane Schwarze, his brothers Harry and Bill, and sister Beverly Trolan

Bob is survived by his ex-wife Phyllis of Groton, sisters Rita Kliminski and Doris Rooney of New Jersey. He is survived by his daughters Karen Schwarze , Robin Schwarze , Deborah and her husband Christopher Roddy of CT and Kelly and husband Kenneth Goss of South Berwick, ME. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren Shelby, Olivia, Katie, Tina, Tiffany, Marcel, Corinne, Melanie, Jacob and Bailey. Bob leaves behind several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews in NJ and CT.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 in Fulton-Theroux Funeral Home at 181 Ocean Avenue in New London CT on Wednesday April 20th. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the Memorial Service from 1:00 to 2:00 including military honors. Burial will be private.
