

He was predeceased by his parents, John and Grace Isabella Sett; his four brothers, Cleveland (China), Vidson Stalk (Vive), Fitzgerald (Fitz) and his twin, Glenston Wellington (Glen) Sett. He is survived by his wife Alma Cecilia Sett of New London; his sister Elda Evadnie (Nung) Alberga (Sett) of Jamaica; and his children: son Michael Sett, and his three daughters, Annmarie (Pauline), Susan and Debbie, all of California; and a host of nieces and nephews, in-laws and extended family in Canada, England, Florida, Maryland and Saint Vincent. With special mention of his nieces, Edna (Babylee) of North Carolina, and Diane of Europe; and friends that became family, June Coppin and Trina Charles of New London. Rodrick (Gless) Sett moved to Kingston, Jamaica in his 20s. He completed his training and worked as a mechanic. He met and married his wife Alma (Bardowell) in March of 1965. They migrated to the United States in June of 1966. They lived in Upstate New York and New Jersey, before settling in Connecticut. Rodrick worked in a few companies in the New London/Groton area including Electric Boat. He retired from Wyman Gordon.
Rodrick was a kind and loving soul with a zeal for life, he was the life of the party. He loved his wife and family dearly. He loved to cook and entertain company in his home with his wife and play the lottery. He will be missed.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 7, at Fulton-Theroux in New London.
