He was born on March 16, 1917, in New London, the son of Augustine Farina and Filimena Rondinoni Farina.
He was the widower of Catherine Osinski Farina. They were married in St. Mary Star of The Sea Church, in 1947.
Mr. Farina was a veteran of World War II, serving in The Philippines with the US Army. He was employed as a bartender and a grocery clerk. He was a member of the German Club; the Bilgewater Club; the VFW and the OB's Club.
He is survived by his nieces Tanya Sherman of Niantic, Pamela Zbierski, of Mystic; he is also survived by his other nieces, great nieces and great nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings Antonette Miller, Lucy Metevier and Joseph Farina.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on tomorrow, March 7th at 10am in Our Lady Perpetual Help, 63 Old Norwich Rd. Quaker Hill. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New London. To sign the on line guest book visit www.fultontherouxnewlondon.com.
