Alfredo Al "Al" Surla Jr.

Alfredo “Al” Surla, Jr., age 77, passed away on October 14, 2011. He was the son of the late Alfredo Surla, Sr. and Frances Spiess. He was the beloved husband to Susan Thompson Surla. He is survived by his children, Allen Surla, Todd Surla and Laurie Surla, his step-children, Stacie Chittom, Nealie Lopez, Frankie Smith and Annie Schara, 20 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was the brother to Castor Surla, Carla Patterson, Bobby Surla and the late “Bubby” Surla and Paula Surla. A good friend and coffee buddy to Mike Dugas. He was a Army Veteran and was employed by Crescent Business for 40 years. Family and friends are invited to the visitation Saturday, October 22nd, beginning at 12 noon followed with a Funeral Service at 4:00PM in the chapel at Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, New Orleans.
