

Beverly Steckler Danton died Sunday, March 11, 2012, at Autumn Grove Cottage in Houston, TX at the age of 89. She was born in New Orleans, LA on February 8, 1923 to Jeff and Jewel Steckler. Beverly remained a lifelong resident of New Orleans until the Katrina travesty. She was preceded in death by her Husband of 59 years, Dr. Bernard F. Danton, Jr and her son Bernard F. Danton, III. Beverly is a graduate of Loyola University and was a avid gardener and horticulturalist. Her passions included family, travel and needlework. She is survived by: daughter, Sandra Vasich; daughter-in-law, Pamela Danton; and daughters, Beverly A. Danton, Cheryl Goodart ( husband Gary), and Virginia Danton; sons Thomas Danton (wife Carolyn) and Michael Danton (wife Mary Patricia 'Petie'); Her cherished grandchildren Stacy Goodart, Bert Danton, Ginny Goodart, Doug Danton, James Vasich, Nicole Cartmill, Patrick Danton, Marguerite Berttuci, Michelle Price, Kenneth Danton, Molly Spako and Adam Danton; and eleven great-grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to the visitation Thursday, March 15th beginning at 9:00 am followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal Street, New Orleans.
