Charles Joseph Champagne Sr.

Charles Joseph Champagne, age 82, passed away on May 23, 2011 from complications of COPD. He was a native of New Orleans and resident of Slidell for the past 16 years. Beloved husband of the late Elaine Champagne, he is survived by his son Charles J Champagne Jr.; daughters Dorothy Fullilove, Charlotte Gerhold, Cathy Stroupe, and Linda Strassel; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was a longtime supervisor for New Orleans Novelty/Arcade at Lakeside Mall and a Navy Veteran where he served as a deep sea diver.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass from the New Orleans Home of JACOB SCHOEN & SON, 3827 Canal St. at N. Scott; on Friday, May 27, 2011 at 1:00 pm.
