You always think of people you have shared time with,respected and loved for the way they respected and loved you back. She was of the sweetest and kindest people I had met at Kingsley House.  She has been in my thoughts and prayers since she left Kingsley House and today I googled her name because she fell on my mind . Estoy rezando por el alma de Loty. Ella va a estar siempre en mi corazón y en mis oraciones diarias.

I met Loty about the time when her first daughter was born. Several years before I married her sister in law. I am talking now around 60 years. I don't remember her  not smiling. She was always ready to laugh and make a joke. To me, Loty was a happy person that smiled to adversity. I will remember her always like that. She is in a better place now, but she  will be missed in our life.

I am glad Loty came to visit awhile in Georgia and I got to spend time with such a lovely lady. She always had kind words and a beautiful smile. She will be greatly missed!

Tia Loti, con mucho cariÃ±o le agradesco los buenos momentos que pasamos juntos. Le agradesco sus palabras que siempre me hicieron sonreir. Siempre recordare la vez que fuimos a el restaurante "Pampas" con mi Mama y Papa Vivian, Lisa y el resto de la familia. Usted se sento junto a mi y pudimos platicar y reirnos constantemente. Siento mucho, no poder estar con usted hoy para despedirla pero creame que estoy pensando en usted y se que usted  esta feliz pues se ha unido a su querido esposo y mi querido Tio Felipe. Ademas, se que nos veremos cuando me toque dejar esta vida fisica y asender a la vida espiritual. Asi que solo quiero desir "Hasta Luego Tia Loti, la quiero mucho."

Tengo recuerdos muy gratos de Loty, ella era una persona alegre, jobial y dispuesta  a ayudar incondicionalmente.  Fueron muchos los momentos gratos compartidos.  Recuerdo cuando  los sábados en la mañana ibámos  al centro de New Orleans y comprábamos yogurt de vainilla en cono de waffle.  Nos sentábamos en una gradita a comernoslo,  a platicar y a reirnos.

Cuando hacía tamales para la Navidad siempre me guardaba para cuando yo regresara de Guatemala.  

A ella le encantaban los niños, especialmente sus nietos, se ponia a jugar pelota y a colorear con ellos.  Los cuidaba con mucho cariño.

Quien va a olvidar el arroz, los platanitos fritos, los frijoles volteados y el pollo en mole que ella hacía.

No le digo adiós, sino hasta pronto a una mujer luchadora, a un alma pura,  a una persona con  un gran corazón.

May God be with you and your family, Carmen. Cherish the memories of the wonderful times that the two of you shared. You have been the model daughter and she will live on through you!
