Elsie and I met during my stay at Waldo Burton Home for Boys in the 1940's.
Her dad was the Administrator at the home.  She was always friendly and a very likable person.  I lost touch with her when I left the home.  My condolences to the family.  She will be missed.

     Elsie was a devout Christian, a loving and loyal mother, mother-in-law and grandmother, an excellent attorney, and a great friend. More than a friend, she was like a member of our family.

Elsie, we had a lot of fun throughout the years. I will always cherish your friendship. You were a very wise lady with a great since of humor. You will always be in my thoughts.

Elsie what a great person and dear friend, you were part of our family for nearly 40 years.You were always here for us in many ways. No matter what we needed done, or questions we needed answered you were the one. We will alway have fond memories of you.  You shared our good times and bad. We will miss you and you will always be in our hearts.

Elsie helped me through a difficult time in my life with her understanding as a person and professionalism as an attorney. My thoughts and prayers goes out to the family of Elsie at this difficult time.

Elsie was a role model for Keith and I in many ways.  Although she was the consummate professional, most importantly she enjoyed the people around her and tried to add a little fun and laughter to their lives.

Her sharp sense of humor and generosity will be the things about Elsie that I remember most.

I would often run into your mother at various functions and though we knew many others to speak to, we often wound up talking for long lengths of time.  I truly enjoyed her company and will miss her smiling face.

I first met Elsie in 1978 at the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeal. We remained friends for years after that, getting together with other former court employees for lunch. We always had a great time. Alas, we lost touch after Katrina. I regret it's been so long since I last saw her. 

I had the highest opinion of Elsie, both professionally and personally. As a lawyer, she was honorable, hard-working, conscientious and shrewd. As a person, she was caring, thoughtful, and had a great sense of humor. I'll miss her. The world will miss her.

Elsie was in my study group at Loyola night law school. I enjoyed her friendship for years. Very intelligent> My prayers go to her family.

I knew Elsie for many years, as a fellow attorney and as a friend. She personified the ideals of professionalis.She will be greatly missed.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time.
