Gerard Jerry Joseph Westcott

Gerard Joseph “Jerry” Westcott passed away on Oct. 21, 2013 at home. He was born Oct. 3, 1930, the son of the late Ursula Margaret Peuler and George Edmund Westcott. He was the beloved husband of Louise Betty Warren. Father of Kathleen Cheramie (Frenchie), grandfather of Jeffery Scott Cheramie and Jon Paul Cheramie (Claire). He was preceded in death by his brothers George and John and his sister Ursula.

Jerry was a resident of New Orleans and since Katrina has resided in Pearl River, LA. He worked for South Central Bell for 41 years, was a member of the American Legion Henry Thomas Ross Post 137 and Telephone Pioneers who built ramps for the handicapped. His hobby was woodworking.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Friday Oct. 25 at Noon in the chapel of Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 9am and continue until Mass time. Condolences may be expressed at www.schoencanalstreet.com
