Helen Geraldine Lawrence Miller

Helen Geraldine Josephine Lawrence Miller, 87, of New Orleans, LA passed away on August 8, 2013. Helen was a lifelong resident of the city of New Orleans born to Richard and Theresa Lawrence on November 7, 1925. She graduated from L E Rabouin School where she studied Home Economics. She lived in Uptown New Orleans with her mother where she met her future husband, Robert Nicholas Miller Jr. They were married on June 23, 1951 and moved to Old Jefferson where she resided for the rest of her life. Helen led an active life enjoying the outdoors, gardening and bowling. She was an ardent animal lover. She was a spectacular cook. She was a loving and dedicated wife and mother and was admired and respected by her friends and neighbors. She is survived by her children, Richard Nicholas Miller Sr. and Robin Nathalie Miller; grandchildren Rachel Bourg, Richard Nicholas Miller Jr., Elizabeth Miller Groover and Christiane Theresa Miller; adoring daughter-in law Julia Etheridge Miller.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass to be celebrated in the Chapel of Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal St. New Orleans on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at 11:00 A.M.
