Imelda Shubert Gares

Our beautiful and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Imelda Shubert Cusimano Gares, passed away peacefully at the age of 94. She is survived by her children, Noel E. Cusimano, Jo Ann Cusimano Pooley, Judith Cusimano Doucette, Donald C. Cusimano, and Janine Ann Gares, eleven grand children, nine great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews. She was the wife of the late Noel E. Cusimano, Sr. by first marriage and the late Clarence H. Gares by second marriage. She was the daughter of the late Lenard Henry Shubert and Julie Marie Bech Shubert. She is preceeded in death by her one brother, Edwin L. Shubert, four sisters, Vierra Crist, Marian Kennedy, Audrey Schlumbrect, and Shirley Rose, son Gordon A. Gares, and great-grandchild Mia Ryan McCloskey.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at 11:00 am, on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 from Sts. Peter and Paul Church 66192 St. Mary Dr., Pearl River, LA. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am until service time at the Church. Interment will follow in St. Vincent de Paul No.2 Cemetery, New Orlenas, LA. In lieu of flowers masses preferred.
